Each year, Wymondham YFC raise money through various events for our Charity of the Year, a charity which the members decide on. Our largest event is always the annual pantomine, from which the Charity of the Year receive a share of the proceeds. There is no real criteria for the charities we choose, but they are normally related in some way to either agriculture or young people.
CHARITY OF THE YEAR 2006 - 07, 2007 - 08
The Anthony Nolan Trust
The Anthony Nolan Trust provides lifesaving donors for patients in need of a bone marrow transplant. Since 1974 they have helped to give over 4,000 children and adults a new chance of life.
In one sense, all they do is connect people.
They connect one person, whose immune system needs a boost – with another person, who is prepared to share a little of theirs. Matching patients with donors. Of course, the detail is more complicated.
